Moonstone and the Magical Attributes

This powerful stone is a form of feldspar and has a gem-like quality. It comes in a variety of colors from a slivery black to a glowing white and it can be transparent to a murky translucence. It can be found in Switzerland, Myanmar, Brazil, Norway, Australia, Germany, Tanzania, India, Madagascar, and the United States. However, it is considered a sacred stone in India. The Ancient Greeks and Romans associated the moonstone with lunar deities. One Roman legend stated that the color of the stone would wax and wane along with the moon phases. In the Middle Ages it carried as a popular love charm.

It corresponds with the element of water and the moon. It works well with intentions of calm, communication, emotional connection, creativity, divination, dreamwork, intuition, psychic ability, releasing old emotions, and especially moon energies. It hopes to intensify the feminine “Goddess” energy from within. It can be added to the altar or grid during moon rituals. Add it to your moon water jars for charging moon water for an extra moon power. Place it under your pillow with some clear quartz and blue tourmaline to help you sleep and have calming dreams.

If you want to open to any latent psychic abilities take a purple sachet fill with equal parts of basil (clairvoyance), dandelion (awareness), lavender (clarity), and sage (protection). Add some crystals like moonstone (spirit contact), amethyst (spiritual beginnings), jet (grounding), angelite (psychic protection), and clear quartz (amplify). Place the sachet with your divination tools and hold the sachet before or during any divination work to increase psychic awareness.
